Kids flooded my desk this morning with very thoughtful gifts this morning. Thank you! I so appreciate all the thoughtful notes and and gifts SO much, they truly made me feel spoiled and loved. It's been a great week here at school. We've worked very hard on door decorating, had a lot of fun dressing up for spirit week, and did some fun 6th grade activities today. I know this is a short post, but I hope you all have a fantastic break with your families and friends, thank you for sending me your wonderful children!

Thanks to all of your generous donations, the two classes were able to fully outfit two children with winter boots, hats, jackets, and snowpants. The children also received a couple of outfits, and many toys from their wish lists! How awesome. The best part though? With all of the donations we were also able to help ANOTHER family! So between the two classrooms, we helped two different families! Amazing! Thank you so much for all of your donations.
On a completely unrelated note, I am currently enrolled in a graduate class titled "Social Media for Educators." It is a wonderful class all about how to utilize Social Media within the classroom. You may have noticed the changes in the blog- not only is my Twitter account now showing up on the blog, to the right, (in mobile site, scroll all the way to the bottom)but I have just started a classroom Instagram page. It is linked to the right as well. If you have Twitter or Instagram please feel free to follow us by clicking to the right! This is just another way to share what's going on inside the classroom, with families! Eventually the kids will be in charge of what's shared. I hope you enjoy the window into our classroom. Have a great weekend! |
