Hello Families! I apologize for my lack of blog posts lately, the last two weeks have flown by, and I'm usually pretty good about keeping this blog updated. It was great to see you all at conferences, thanks for coming in! Since my last post, a lot has happened. First, thanks to all of your awesome donations, we were able to BOO four classes! Our TA put together the baskets and we left them at each of the fifth grade teachers' doors! I heard really awesome things from fifth grade teachers, and they in turn passed on the fun to others in the middle school. Currently we have some 7th and 8th grade TA's now involved! How cool will it be if all of our classes in the whole school get this special treat left on their door? So fun! Thanks again for making it happen. Another thing that has been discussed this past week is the food and gift drive. Between Mrs. Allen's TA and our TA, we have decided to "adopt" one family and try to provide jackets, boots, and some small gifts to them for Christmas. More details will be coming about this next week. The students are really excited to do this for our community and we enjoy seeing the enthusiasm they have for giving back to our school. Lastly, we had our PTA award ceremony last week. Students from our class nominated Aubrey C. as their Positive Teamwork Award recipient. She was nominated for being a positive member of our community, for working hard, and for always being kind to her classmates! We also took the time to recognize students who should be proud of their personal responsibility! Congrats to Aubrey! Make sure you check out the 6th grade site for other information about events coming up!
