I find this time of year to be tough. Kids are so excited about the coming summer and teachers know that there is still SO MUCH to get through before the end. It's a reality that it's difficult, especially in Vermont, to focus on sunny. warm days, when we haven't had them in so long. Finding common ground in May is so challenging. We've had to talk a lot this week about meeting expectations and making sure we are still in "school mode." We still have assessments to take, essays to write, and projects to finish. Things are definitely not lightening up! On a positive note, we have been talking about some things that we'd like to do together during our TA time to celebrate our awesome group. Some of the ideas they came up with are below: Lunch in the Garden Rummy Tourney Outdoor Activity Pizza Party/ Lunch Class Music Video You may be hearing of these small celebrations happening throughout this final month. It's always fun to celebrate all we have accomplished as a group! We have come a long way. Last thing- Yesterday I had the privilege of joining the kids in PE. It was awesome! The kids were great, the told me I had to do my ABC check on my bike (Air, Brakes, Chain) and then we were off. We got to explore our gorgeous bike path and nature trails on two wheels. The kids showed me the "loop" as Mr. Joyal calls it, and it involved to wooded trails and the bike bath. They biked the entire time, watched out for each other, and seemed to really enjoy it. I thoroughly had a good time, it was nice to get out of the classroom and join them in such a fun activity. Biking will continue as long as the weather holds out, and I can't wait to join them again next week! Such a fun time. I'm sure Mr. Joyal wouldn't appreciate that I was using my phone while pedaling, but I did snap a few photos and they are below! Have a great weekend!
